Currently in the middle of a sold-out tour of Australia, the return of JET gathers pace with the confirmation of a full UK and Ireland headline tour – their first here since 2009.

The news arrives at a time of resurgence for the band. After being inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame last year, they have just released the new single ‘Hurry Hurry’ and are working on their long-awaited fourth album, which is set for release in 2025.

Vocalist/guitarist Nic Cester says, “Get Born was a rare and unique moment of total planetary alignment where we somehow managed to capture lighting in a bottle. We’re all really excited to come back to the UK & Ireland for these shows.”

Tickets for the shows, listed below, go on sale 10am on Friday, May 24th – www.ticketmaster.ie

The new single ‘Hurry Hurry’ is currently only available on 7” vinyl, with very limited stock remaining at their official website. Its b-side, ‘Un’avventura’, is effectively a cover of a cover: a rollicking rock ‘n’ soul rendition of Wilson Pickett’s version of a song originally by Lucio Battisti. Nic performs its vocals in both English and Italian, a nod to his time spent living in Italy over the past 15 years. Both tracks will come to streaming platforms in the near future.

JET achieved phenomenal success in their first incarnation, with their 2003 debut album ‘Get Born’ racing up charts around the world and achieving more than 6 million sales – including Platinum status in the UK in recognition of 300,000+ sales. Two further hit albums followed in the shape of ‘Shine On’ (2006) and ‘Shaka Rock’ (2009), while their catalogue of hits – ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’, ‘Look What You’ve Done’, ‘Cold Hard Bitch’, ‘Hold On’, ‘She’s A Genius’ and many more – still connecting with new fans all these years later. The band have 6 million monthly listeners at Spotify – a remarkable figure for a band whose most recent album came before the platform’s full global launch.
